Who We Are

Barnaby Brewing Company is a nano brewery located in downtown Juneau, Alaska specializing in American-style ales with the occasional outlier. BBC also serves handcrafted sodas, kombucha and cold brew nitro coffee.

Our 1-barrel brewing system allows us to experiment with a variety of ingredients. We strive to make “beer from here” by often incorporating locally-harvested ingredients like spruce tips, dandelions, and salmonberries.

Brew News

We're excited to announce that this Fall/Winter we will be teaming up with our friends at the Southeast Alaska Food Bank. We should have more details on how you can help in the next coming weeks.

10/1 -- Fall/Winter hours have been updated!

10/8 -- We are back from the Great American Beer Fest that was held this past week in Denver, Colorado. We didn't come back with any hardware, but our friends at Alaskan Brewing Company took gold for their collaboration with local coffee roaster, Heritage Coffee, for their Heritage Coffee Brown Ale. Huge congrats to them!

Events

OCTOBER

October 5-7 we will be pouring beers among 800+ other breweries at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado. Tickets for this event are SOLD OUT, but if you were able to snag some we will see you there!

October 6 BBC will be hosting local artist, Rebekah Johnson, and her show titled "From Pieces to Peace". Rebekah's art career started on a sad note after losing her brother, but she draws inspiration from the poems that he wrote and she has a strong desire to bring his poems to "life" with color and form. You can catch her acrylic on canvas pieces all month long in October.

BBC will be releasing a Pineapple IPA. Like all other First Friday events, this is a small batch, so we'll only be offering 6-oz pours on this night.

October 19 BBC's DrinkTanks Growler Hunt kicks off! Check our Facebook for event details.

October 26 Another day, another event. This Thursday we will start our "Buy a Vet a Beer" event. It's super simple to participate. Stop by anytime we're open before November 11th and purchase a beer for a Vet. Then, on November 11th any active duty military member or veteran will receive a beer on you! Pay it forward and put a smile on someones face.

October 31 Trick or Treat Downtown!! We are a participating business this year so be sure to swing by the stoop at the brewery. We'll have orange balloons outside and tons of candy, so be sure to see us.

NOVEMBER

November 3 Meet me In Alaska is a company founded on a simple idea – “to share our love and pride for Alaska.” Kelsey Erickson-Kizer, the company’s founder and main artist, embodies the values of this simple idea and dedicates her time and efforts to share them with as many people as she can. Her November Art Show is twofold; showcasing her highly-anticipated “Gratitude” exhibit and “Paper Art,” her newest medium that presents vibrancy and a little bit of self-reflection.

“Gratitude” is dedicated to the expression of love, and appreciation. For this exhibit, Kelsey asked more than a dozen Alaskans what they were ‘grateful’ for about their state and requested pictures or images of what made them grateful. People from across Alaska submitted their images and Kelsey hand-picked several that told a story about the wonderful state she calls home. It embraces culture, scenery, and a whole lot of love.

In “Paper Art,” Kelsey dedicated this second exhibit to show how diverse art can be. She is inspired by beautiful designs on paper and enjoys mixing up her art mediums. The pieces presented in this half are primarily images of wildlife that can be found throughout Alaska, and is meant to speak to you through fun and bright images, to inspire your imagination and possibly, some décor.

Come out and meet the artist this November at November’s First Friday Event.

November 11 we are honoring our Veterans, past and present! Stop by the brewery to claim your beer from our "Buy a Vet a Beer" event while supplies last. Must have valid military ID present.
