Who We Are

Barnaby Brewing Company is a nano brewery located in downtown Juneau, Alaska specializing in American-style ales with the occasional outlier. BBC also serves handcrafted sodas, kombucha and cold brew nitro coffee.

Our 1-barrel brewing system allows us to experiment with a variety of ingredients. We strive to make “beer from here” by often incorporating locally-harvested ingredients like spruce tips, dandelions, and salmonberries.

Brew News

We're excited to announce that this Winter we will be teaming up with our friends at the Southeast Alaska Food Bank. We should have more details on how you can help in the next coming weeks. Food drive at the brewery will be slated for February.

Events

JANUARY

We are starting off the new year with a light-hearted and unique show. On January 5th Trish Turner Custard will be our First Friday artist and artist of the month. Her show is titled, Cast-off: A Photo Story. In April 2017 a chair was found on Eagle Beach, at the edge of the low tide waterline. Perhaps a cast-off from a passing boat. Chair was rescued and taken on a photographic adventure through Juneau. Photos of Chair will be paired with famous quotes or poems to present an evocative look at well-known sites and sights throughout the Capital city.

We'll have a limited release of an apple beer and our special deal on core logo t-shirts is still running.

Alaska Beer week is January 12-21st. We'll be wrapping up the week with a special release of brews on Thursday January 18th. Brews include: Slack Tide a Wood Aged Barleywine, Cooperation with The Devil Belgian Golden Strong Ale and Crew Brew 2017, which is an Extra Special Bitter (ESB). The Crew Brew was brewed by our summer staff comprised of hardworking and talented women.

FEBRUARY

Juneauites get ready for this one! We are excited to announce that we'll have Marissa Amor of Marissa Amor Art in the house. If you haven't seen her work before, head over to her Facebook or Instagram now. She draws inspiration from pretty, iridescent things. Mussel shells, fish scales, and butterfly wings are common motifs in her paintings. Her vivid paintings depict Alaska's intricate tidal life & simplify nature's complex processes. A running theme in her work is that "all is connected". First Friday will be held on February 2nd and we'll have a tasty brew lined up for the show.

Cold Brew Nitro Coffee

We proudly brew our nitro coffee with beans from Sentinel Coffee out of Gustavus, Alaska to provide absolutely fresh organic coffee. Nitro coffee is served cold, infused with nitrogen and poured from a keg, giving it a creamier, thicker taste that draws comparison to an alcohol-free stout beer.
